Sometimes we do not know what we really think about something until someone challenges our thinking.   How would you respond to each of these?  Respond to either, all three, or take off an a tangent of your own! 

1.   If I were to explain to one of my colleagues how to implement the "Making Reading Essential," what would my argument for it be and what steps would I advise they follow?

2.   What do I see as the biggest roadblocks to "read and ...?"  Then, how to I tear down each one so that the reading I assign gets DONE and DONE WELL?

3.  What type of instructional/pedagogical self-assessment could you develop to accurately reflect to what extent reading is essential in your teaching?
